WANDY INOX DEPOSE 21cm Italian 1960s Trapdoor flush button automatic knife NOS

WANDY INOX DEPOSE 21cm Italian Trapdoor OTF flush button automatic knife made in Italy in the 1960s and is a highly sought after knife. This knife is part of a group of vintage trapdoors that was found in an old workshop in Italy a few years ago. These switchblades have been very rare in the collecting community over the past 50 years so this find will give the opportunity to many collectors to own one of these knives who would likely never have had that opportunity before. Many of the knives found have minor issues/imperfections with the bolsters & frames. Button is flush with the scale and it actually rocks by pushing top, or bottom. You push on the bottom of the button to open the knife and the top of the button to release the blade to close (best result if you use your thumbnail). The final bit is done with the trapdoor that you use to cock the knife back into the firing position.

The knife measures 20.8cm (8 3/16 inches) open and 4 11/16 inches closed with nickel silver plated brass bolsters & frame and flush button and steel trapdoor.  The flat swedge blade is 100% full with original factory finish with some scratches from opening and closing and it is marked INOX DEPOSE on the front and WANDY (upside down) with four lines on the back of the ricasso. The imitation horn scales are in excellent condition and held on with brass pins. The bottom (back) bolsters and edges have some corrosion that may be from manufacture, or being in the box for 60 years and can be seen in the photos. The knife works just as it should.
