Vintage CASE TESTED XX 5171L Lever automatic knife with Stag handles made in Bradford, PA between 1920 and 1940s by WR CASE & Sons. The knife measures 5 3/8 inches closed and 9 5/16 inches open with nickel silver liners, bolsters & lever. The Saber Grind swedge blade is 97% Full and very shiny with what appears to be the original factory finish with a little bit of peppering and the tang is stamped CASE TESTED XX. The genuine stag scales are in excellent condition with no cracks. The bottom front bolster is stamped CASE TESTED XX with lanyard hole drilled through. The knife works great with blade tip below the liners and centered closed, good snap and Tight lockup open with no movement at the tip open. Does not rattle if shaken with the blade open as most of these do, except for the lever. VG+ condition.
