WKC ROSTFREI 60 23cm German Trap door 1960 vintage Gravity knife military

Vintage WKC ROSTFREI 23cm German Military OTF Gravity knife was made in 1960 for the German military by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie company in Solingen Germany. This one measures 22.5cm (8.75 inches) open and 5.25 inches closed with a steel frame and nickel (German) silver bolsters, lanyard ring, trapdoor and release lever. The blade appears to be 90% full or better with original finish and stamped on the face a Knight's helmet outline over WKC over ROSTFREI over 60. The underside of the trapdoor is was also stamped 60, but has been scratched off by flicking the knife open with dust cover closed. The black scales are in good condition with some wear and lots of light scuffs/handling marks. German eagle symbol on the rear scale is still fully visible, but slightly worn. Knife works perfectly. Blade drops out if pointed down and release pressed and falls back into the knife if pointed up when button pressed. VG+ condition overall.
