VIRGINIA INOX PATENT 96847 20cm Italian Derby Totem Pearlex BOBC automatic knife

Vintage VIRGINIA INOX PATENT 96847 20cm Italian Derby (Totem) bolster Pearlex BOBC automatic knife 1960s vintage made in Italy. The knife measures 19.5cm (7.7 inches) open and 4 3/8 inches closed with brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and safety cap. The flat grind swedge blade is 95% full or better with lots of light scratches and the ricasso is stamped VIRGINIA INOX on the front and PATENT over 96847 on the reverse. The pearlex (imitation pearl) scales are in very good condition with 4 pins on the front and 3 pins on the back with small chip out of the front and two hairline cracks on the back scale. The knife works well with the blade tip about 1/16 inch above the liners closed, opens fully and below average lockup with 3/8" up and down that springs back when you let go. The knife does not rattle if shaken with blade open. Front liner slightly bent near the top bolster. Press button to open and press button to close. Safety works. VG+ condition.
