VIRGINIA INOX 24cm Ackermannchen style Lockback Black Vintage Italian Switchblade

Vintage VIRGINIA INOX 24cm Ackermannchen style lockback black Italian automatic knife made in Italy in the 1960s or 70s. This style is often stamped Ackermannchen and I don't know of any other name for it, so we're going with that. As far as I can see the markings are the only difference. The knife measures 23.5cm (9.25 inches) open and just over 5 inches closed with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver button and safety cap. The flat grind swedge blade is 97% full or better and shiny with some light scratches and is stamped VIRGINIA INOX on the front ricasso (tang) and PATENT MADE IN ITALY on the rear. The black synthetic scales are in good condition with one tiny crack and some gouging around the button. The knife works great with the blade tip below the liners closed, STRONG snap and good lockup open with about 1/8" movement each way at the tip. This is a backspring release (lockback) knife so you press on a grooved tab on the backspring to release the blade to be closed. Safety works. VG condition.
