Vintage PRESTO BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA automatic knife made for scouts with disabilities in the 1940s by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT. The really COOL thing about this knife is you can clearly read: BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA with the scout symbol in the middle on the face of the blade. This is a REAL DEAL Boy Scout switchblade knife from the 1940s!

The knife measures 4 1/8 inches closed and just over7 inches open with steel liners, bolsters, button & nickel silver safety. The clip blade is mostly full at about 97% with a lot of light scratches, spotting and a light patina. The tang is stamped PRESTO PAT PEND-G and the reverse is stamped G CHRADE B'ORT, CT. The jigged bone scales are in excellent condition. The knife works well with the blade tip deep and centered in the well, good snap and excellent lockup with hint of movement at the tip. Does not rattle if shaken with the blade open. This is basically the same knife as the M2 Paratrooper made by Presto for the US military during WWII, but those did not have any etches on the blades. Safety works. EX condition.
