Unusual Russian 21cm RPK OTF Red Lion Crown & Sword Vintage Automatic Knife

Unusual Russian RPK OTF Lion & Sword Vintage Automatic Knife likely made before 1990 in a Russian prison by inmates. It is believed that inmates were allowed to make knives to be sold or traded in support of the prisons years ago. Whatever the case this is a beautiful hand made one-of-a-kind OTF (out the front) switchblade knife that definitely came from Russia. We see a lot of RPK (Russian Prison Knives), but very few are OTF, which makes this one very special.

The knife measures 21cm (8.25 inches) open and 4 5/8 inches closed with steel frame and decorative aluminum bolsters and lavender colored synthetic button (knob) release. The spearpoint blade has a slight saber grind and an elongated blade nick with no maker's mark. The thin synthetic scales are deep red Pearlescent and very attractive. The aluminum bolsters are elaborately decorated with images of Lions holding swords, crowns and more swords. The knife works perfectly with the blade opening fully and locking when the button is pushed forward and retracts fully into the frame when the button is pulled backward. EX- condition.
