UNION CUT CO OLEAN NY Aerial Lever release MOP vintage automatic knife

Vintage UNION CUT CO OLEAN NY Aerial Lever release MOP automatic knife made in Kentucky in the early 1980s. These reproductions of the Aerial knives made by Union Cut Co in the 1920s & 30s and are excellent quality. Most of these reproduction knives were handled is stag and marked either AC MFG CO or JAEGER BROS, but they did a limited number of these in genuine Mother of Pearl with the UNION CUT CO stamp.

The knife measures 4 9/16 inches closed and 8 1/8 inches open with brass liners and nickel silver bolsters & pins. The saber ground clip blade is 100% full with most of the original finish with some spotting and a little peppering and is stamped UNION CUT CO OLEAN, NY on the front and PAT OCT 23rd 1916 on the reverse. The Mother of Pearl handles (scales) are in excellent condition with a couple of tiny hairlines and a dark spot along the front along the nickel silver band and a tiny chip along the back band as well as a couple more tiny cracks near the top rear bolster. Sounds much worse than it actually is. Hardly noticeable. The knife works great with blade tip well below liners closed, Strong snap and TIGHT lockup open. EX condition.
