Vintage 1960s Italian trapdoor all metal automatic knife. These switchblades have been very rare in the collecting community over the past 50 years, especially the all metal ones like this knife. It measures just over 21cm (8 3/8 inches) open with aluminum checkered frame and nickel silver button and safety cap. The blade is nearly full with most of the original finish with some light scratches and the only marking I can see looks like an "O" on the right side of the ricasso. The knife works great with the blade tip completely inside when closed, opens fully and locks when the button is pressed. Press button again to release blade to fall back into the knife and reset (cock) the blade using the hinged trapdoor which on this knife is on the left side though most were hinged on the right side. EX- condition.
