Tonerini Scarperia INOX 30cm Italian Shell puller Ring pull switchblade knife with buffalo horn scales and lanyard ring. This was originally a manual knife that was converted to be a switchblade by a craftsman in Italy. The knife measures 30cm (12 inches) open with steel liners, bolsters, button, safety and lanyard ring. The spear point blade appears to be 99% full, or better with original factory finish and some light scratches. The ricasso is lightly stamped Tonerini Scarperia INOX. Nice original etch on the blade that reads: SUPER COLTELLERI TONERINI SCARPERIA (inside a diamond) INOX. The shell puller bolsters are marked 12 on the front and 16 on the back which indicates 12 guage and 16 guage shotgun shells. The buffalo horn scales are mostly translucent green & cream colored and in good used condition with a little shrinkage and a couple of minor flaws. The knife works well with blade tip below the liners closed, opens fully with good lockup with just a little side to side movement. safety works. An original 1940s Scarperia switchblade can run $3,000 or more. Here's a chance to own on that's very similar for a fraction of the cost of an original. VG condition
