Tiny USA 9cm Russian RPK Sliding button Vintage automatic knife

Vintage Tiny USA marked 9cm Russian RPK Sliding button automatic knife likely made in a Russian prison sometime before 1980. It is believed that these knives were made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1950s through 70s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons and used as bribes and gifts by prison personnel. They are all hand made and very unique and beautiful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures only 9.2cm open and 3 5/8 inches open with an aluminum frame and steel sliding button. The interesting clip/tanto blade is full and shiny with the letters USA on the face. The scales are not color matched which supports the crude circumstances in which these knives were made. The knife works well with blade tip below the guard tip at the end of the knife, opens well and has very good lockup open. EX+ condition.
