TARRY LEVIGNE IMPORT INOX Lizard 20cm Italian Vintage Transitional switchblade knife

Vintage TARRY LEVIGNE 20cm Italian Vintage Transitional Stiletto switchblade knife. Made in Italy for the French market in the 1960s-70s, these contract knives were the best quality Italian switchblades of the day, made to the same standards as the earlier 1950s picklocks . The knife measures 20cm (7 7/8 inches) open with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and safety cap. The blade is nearly full and retains much of the factory finish with sharpening scratches and light grind marks on cutting edge. The ricasso is stamped with a picture of a LIZARD (or Gecko) over IMPORT and the backside is stamped INOX. The buffalo horn scales are mostly black with a little light streaking on the back scale and in very good condition. The knife works great with blade tip deep and centered closed, good snap and good lockup open with just a little movement at the tip. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open. Safety works.
