TARRY LEVIGNE IMPORT INOX Lizard 28cm Italian Vintage Transitional switchblade knife

Vintage TARRY LEVIGNE 28cm Italian Transitional Stiletto switchblade knife. Made in Italy for the French market in the 1960s-70s. These contract knives were the best quality Italian switchblades of the day, made to the same standards as the earlier 1950s picklocks . The knife measures 27.4cm (10 13/16 inches) open with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and safety cap. The flat swedge blade is nearly full and retains all of the factory finish and is stamped with a picture of a LIZARD over IMPORT and the backside is stamped INOX (Tarry Levigne stamping). There are some light scratches on the blade. The buffalo horn scales are dark brown with tan & cream streaks and in good condition. The knife works great with blade tip below liners and centered closed, good snap and good lockup open with just a little up and down movement at the tip. Safety works. EX condition.
