Switchblade Frozen in Time Schrade 7404 Dolly Varden in Epoxy #1 of 100. I have hundreds of old broken switchblade knives. Some are worth having restored, but many are not due to bad blades and other issues. As an historian I hate to see them taken apart to salvage a few parts to repair other knives. I'd rather see them have their dignity and be preserved in time for future generations to enjoy, like art. Each automatic knife will be suspended in epoxy to stop further corrosion and make it easy to study & appreciate. Each epoxied knife will be in some sort of display, like the one here, most likely made of wood, by Mark Erickson, author of Antique American Switchblades with a gold plaque with information about the knife mounted on the base and autographed on the bottom. I know it's a little controversial, but I think there are already enough "spare parts" out there and I'd rather see these knives intact and being appreciated by generations to come, rather than torn apart or sitting forgotten in a drawer somewhere.  ;^)
