Sterile 28cm Italian picklock 1950s vintage black horn automatic knife unusual locking tab

Sterile 28cm Italian picklock 1950s vintage dark horn automatic knife with no maker's stamp on the blade and unusual shape locking tab. The name picklock refers to how the knife is closed. You pick (lift) the locking tab with your thumbnail to release the blade to be closed. The knife measures 27.5cm (10 13/16 inches) open with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and safety cap. The bayonet blade is 98% full with heavy patina and some spotting and light scratches. The horn scales are in good condition and are dark/black and locking tab is flat and slightly unusual. Knife works well with blade tip below liners and centered when closed, strong snap and very good lockup with about 1/16" movement at the tip open. Does Not rattle if shaken when open. Short throw safety works. VG+ condition.
