STAINLESS STEEL 28cm Japanese Picklock Black Vintage automatic knife

Vintage STAINLESS STEEL 28cm Japanese Picklock Black automatic knife made in the late 50s or 1960s in Japan. These knives were inspired by Italian switchblades from the 1950s and earlier, though not quite the same quality as the Italian knives, still well made. The knife measures 27.6cm (10 7/8 inches) open with brass liners, button, safety cap & pins and nickel silver bolsters. The blade is marked STAINLESS STEEL and is full with nearly all of the original factory finish intact and just a few light scratches. The black synthetic scales are in good condition with no shrinkage, cracks or chips, but there are light scratches & handling marks. The knife works well with blade tip seating deep and centered, fair snap and tight lockup. Opens best with a downward sweep of the button. These knives have a unique "thwak" sound when they open, different than most other switchblades. Safety works. EX condition.
