STAINLESS STEEL 23cm Japanese picklock 1960s Vintage bone automatic knife

 Vintage STAINLESS STEEL 23cm Japanese picklock 1960s bone handled automatic knife made in Japan late 1950s or 1960s. These knives were inspired by Italian switchblades of the period and are good quality, though not the same level as the 1950s Italian knives. The knife measures 22.5cm (8 7/8 inches) open and just under 5 inches closed with D stamped brass liners, button, safety & pins. The bayonet style blade is 100% full with original factory finish and is stamped STAINLESS STEEL on the ricasso. The jigged bone scales are in excellent condition with no cracks, or chips. The knife works great with blade tip seating deep closed, good snap and good lockup with about 1/8" up and down at the tip. Lockup is not as good as Italian knives due to lighter backspring and releases easily. Safety does not work properly. Great old Japanese picklock! EX+ condition.
