STAINLESS STEEL 22cm Japanese Late model Rizzuto w "peek shields" automatic knife

Vintage STAINLESS STEEL 22cm Japanese Late model Rizzuto w "peek shields" automatic knife made in Japan early 1970s. The knife measured 21.8cm (8 5/8 inches) open and 4 13/16 inches closed with steel liners, bolsters, guards, button and safety cap. The bayonet style blade is 98% full with most of the original finish and is stamped STAINLESS STEEL on the ricasso. The handles (scales) are smooth black synthetic in very good condition with some light scratches & scuffs from handling. The knife works great with blade tip deep in the well closed, good snap and excellent lockup open with a little movement each way. We can tell this is a late Japanese model by the bayonet blade, smooth handles, rounded button and blade peek shields. This is the knife that the Koreans and Taiwanese copied in the later 70s and 80s. Safety works. VG+ condition.
