STAINLESS STEEL 19cm Japanese Blue Green Dragon Matador vintage automatic knife

Vintage STAINLESS STEEL 19cm Japanese lever Bullfighter Dragon Light Blue front and Green backside. This is a souvenir lever switchblade knife made in Japan for the Mexican tourist trade between the late 1950s and into the 1970s. These were made in three different sizes with different blade shapes, different colors and some variations on the scenes and are a lot of fun to collect.

This knife is the most common size measuring 19cm (7.48 inches) open and 4 1/8 inches closed with steel liners and brass bolsters, lever and lanyard ring. Less common Light Blue background on the front scale with Silver & Gold dragon on the front and bullfighter/ Matador scene on Green on the back covered with clear acrylic are in excellent condition. It's very unusual to have different background colors on opposing sides. The flat grind clip blade is marked STAINLESS STEEL below the spine and is full with original factory finish intact. The knife works well with the blade tip deep and centered closed, opens strong and Tight lockup open.  Does not rattle if shaken when open. EX+ condition.
