STAINLESS STEEL 16cm Japanese Vintage Bullfighter Red & Gold automatic knife

Vintage Bullfighter lever knife made in Japan for the Mexican tourist trade between the late 1950s and into the 1970s. These were very popular with tourists and were made in three different sizes with different blade shapes, different colors and some variations on the scenes and a lot of fun to collect. This knife is a less common 16cm size measuring 15.5cm (6 1/8 inches) open and 3 3/8 inches closed with steel liners and brass bolsters, lever and lanyard ring. The flat grind clip blade is 98% full or better with original finish and stamped STAINLESS STEEL along the blade spine on the front. Red background with gold dragon on the front and bullfighter/ Matador scene with red background on the back, both covered in clear acrylic and in very nice condition with some bleeding of the background red on the backside of the knife. The knife works well with the blade tip below the liners closed, good snap and tight lockup. Knife does not rattle if shaken when open as many of these do. EX condition.
