Vintage STAINLESS 19cm Japanese unusual Button Lever Bone & Brass automatic knife made in Japan in the 1960s or 70s. The knife measures 19cm (7.5 inches) open and 4.25 inches closed with steel liners and brass bolsters, button & lever with nickel silver decorative lanyard ring. The clip blade is 99% full with light patina, scratches and some poor sharping marks, but not too bad and it's marked STAINLESS sideways below the spine. The handles (scales) are jigged bone and very attractive with no cracks or chips. The knife has a very unusual mechanism where the lever pushes a round button to release the blade. The blade tip is below the liners closed, good snap and good lockup open with about 1/8" movement at the tip open. Nice old Japanese switchblade. VG+ condition.
