St JM XX INOX 21cm French Saint James Stag & Brass Automatic Knife

Vintage Saint James INOX 21cm French Stag & Brass Automatic Knife, often referred to as the St Etienne and made in France in the 1960s or 70s. This is a very interesting and hard-to-find old automatic knife that measures 20.8cm (8 1/8 inches) open and 4.5 inches closed includine the glass breaker at the back of the knife. It has brass liners, bolsters, button, lanyard ring and pins. The spear swedge blade appears to be nearly full and has seen some use and light cleaning and is mostly shiny with some light scratches and the blade spine has factory file work as does the back spring. This is very nice filework, something seldom seen on vintage factory switchblades. The blade is stamped St JM XX INOX on the face and BTE S.D.G.D. on the tang, though hard to read. The genuine stag scales are in very nice condition. The knife works great with blade tip below liners closed, Strong snap and excellent lockup open. Press button to open and press button again to release blade to be closed. VG+ condition.
