St JM XX INOX 21cm French Saint James Stag & Brass Automatic Knife

Vintage Saint James INOX 21cm French Stag & Brass Automatic Knife. Often referred to as the St Etienne, this is a very interesting and hard-to-find old automatic knife made in France. It measures 20.8cm (8 1/8 inches) open with brass liners, bolsters, button, lanyard ring and pins. The spear swedge blade appears to be nearly full and has been cleaned so mostly shiny with some pitting around the stamp and on the blade spine which has factory file work as does the back spring. Very nice filework, something seldom seen on vintage factory switchblades. The blade is stamped St JM XX INOX on the face and BTE S.D.G.D. on the tang. The genuine stag scales are in very nice condition. The knife works like new with blade tip deep and centered in the well, Strong snap and TIGHT lockup! Press button to open and press button again to release blade to be closed. VG+ condition.
