St ETIENNE INOX 23cm French Coffin Lever Jigged bone vintage automatic knife made in France likely in the 1970s. It is referred to as the Coffin knife due to the shape resembling one type of coffin and is the smaller of two sizes of this pattern and the knife measures 22.7cm (9") open and 5 inches closed with Aluminum liners, nickel silver bolsters and steel lever with brass lanyard ring. The blade is 100% full with original factory finish with a few very light scratches and is stamped INOX on the ricasso and St ETIENNE with a STAR on the face. The stag scales are held on by nickel silver pins and the jigged bone is beautiful and in excellent condition with no cracks with a brass lanyard ring. The knife works GREAT with the blade tip seating well below the liners closed, opens strong and has excellent lockup with a hint of down movement at the tip. It does Not rattle if shaken with blade open. EX++ condition.
