SHAPLEIGH HDWR CO DE #S13SS Medium Sterling double vintage automatic knife made by Schrade Cut Co under contract for Shapleigh between 1920 and 1946. The knife measures 3 3/8 inches closed and 7 inches open with nickel silver liners, buttons & safeties. The Spear/pen blades are both 98% full, or better and shiny and the tang of the spear blade is stamped SHAPLEIGH HDW CO around a diamond with DE inside. The scales (handles) are Deluxe Sterling Silver and stamped as such on both scales. The knife works well with both blade tips below the liners closed, both open well and both have movement when locked open. The large blade has 1/16" up and down and the small blade has 3/8" up and down. No rattle if shaken with blades open. Safeties work. EX condition.
