SHAPLEIGH HDW CO DE A11 Large Hunter Bone automatic knife

Vintage SHAPLEIGH HDW CO DE A11 Large Hunter Bone automatic knife made under contract by Schrade Cutlery Co of Walden, NY sometime around 1910-1916. It measures 4 7/8" closed and 8 1/2" open with steel liners and bolsters and nickel silver button and safety. The blade is about 95% full and 1/4 inch short and stamped SHAPLEIGH HDW CO around a diamond shape with letters DE inside. (the DE stands for Diamond Edge, trademark used on their cutlery) with lots of light scratches. The jigged bone scales (handles) are in excellent condition with one small bone repair on back scale by the bolster. The knife works well with blade tip deep in the well closed, opens fully and good lockup with about 1/16" up and down at the tip and does not rattle if shaken when open. Safety works. VG+ condition.
