SCHRADE WALDEN NY #155 Scout Black Stagged vintage automatic knife

Vintage SCHRADE WALDEN pattern number 155 Scout Black jigged automatic knife made in Walden, NY sometime between 1946 and 1956. It measures 4 1/4 inches closed and 7 1/16" open with steel liners and bolsters and nickel silver plated button and safety. The clip blade is heavily sharpened and short at about 90% full and shiny with lots of scratches, especially on the front as well as some peppering and is stamped SCHRADE WALDEN NY on the tang. The black jigged synthetic scales (marketed as "Stagged") are in excellent condition with no shrinkage. Knife works great with blade tip below the liners closed, strong snap and good lockup with about 1/16" movement each way at the tip. Does rattle if shaken with blade open. Safety works. G+ condition.
