Schrade Walden large double switchblade with Imitation Horn celluloid scales. This knife was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1946 and 1956 and was designated the model 750 measuring 3.75 inches closed and 8 1/8 inches open with brass liners. It's a spear/pen blade combo with nearly full shiny blades that have some light patina, scratches and some spotting. The large spearpoint blade is marked SCHRADE WALDEN and the pen blade has three patent dates 1909, 10 and 16. The scales are very attractive with no cracks or chips but there is a little cloudiness.  The knife works well with small blade tip below the liners when closed and the large blade tip 1/8" above liners, both blades open fully and good lockup with about 1/32" up and down at the tip. It does not rattle a bit if shaken with blades open. Comes in a hand made leather purse that I think was made just for this knife and it has some writing on the back that I can't make out very well. I think I see "Dec. U.S.V.N 27, 1953" ?? This is a knife that will be in the book Antique American Switchblades 2 and comes with a laminated Certificate of Authenticity. Both safeties work. VG+ condition.
