Vintage Schrade Walden model 154 Hunter switchblade with Black Stagged scales made in Walden, NY sometime between 1946 and 1956. It measures 4 7/8" closed and 8 1/2" open with steel liners and bolsters with nickel silver button and safety cap. The clip blade is stamped SCHRADE WALDEN NY and is about 90% full and shiny with scratches and lots of scattered pitting on the blade & about 1/4" short. The black jigged scales (marketed by Schrade as Stagged) are in good condition with no cracks or chips and some shrinkage. The knife functions well with the blade tip just below liners closed, good snap and loose lockup with 1/4" up and down and about 1/8" side to side at the tip. Rattles if shaken with blade open. Safety does not work. G- condition.
