Vintage Schrade Walden model 154 Hunter switchblade with Black Stagged (jigged) scales. This knife was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1946 and 1956 and measures 4 7/8" closed and 8 1/2" open with steel liners & bolsters and nickel silver button & safety and brass pins. The clip blade is stamped SCHRADE WALDEN NY and is about 92% full and shiny with some light scratches on the blade and is about 1/4" short. The black jigged scales are in good condition with no cracks or chips and very little shrinkage but lots of scuffs from use and missing one pin on the back scale and bottoms of both scales Intentionally smoothed. The knife functions well with the blade tip seating deep, strong snap and less than average lockup with less than 1/8" movement each way at the tip. Rattles if shaken with blade open as most of these do. Safety works. VG condition.
