Schrade Cut Co double switchblade with Sterling Silver scales. This is the medium size double measuring 3 3/8" closed and 7 1/8" with both blades open with nickel silver liners. It was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1916 and 1946. The blades are full with patina and some light spotting. Main spear blade stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY and the small blade has three patent dates 09, 10 and 16. The Sterling silver scales are in very nice condition with advertising Compliments of the Home Insurance Co NY in raised letters on the front scale. The knife works well with blade blade tips seating well closed, open fully with firm button press and both lock open very well. No kickback on small blade. Both safeties work. Nice example of a vintage American gentleman's silver switchblade.
