Schrade Cut Co Medium double Green & Cream celluloid switchblade knife
Schrade Cut Co Medium double Green & Cream celluloid switchblade knife
Vintage Schrade Cut Co medium double switchblade knife made in Walden, NY sometime between 1916 and 1946. This knife was designated the 7404AC. It measures 3 3/8 inches closed and 7 1/8" open with brass liners and nickel silver buttons & safeties. It has two blades that are each activated by pressing one of two buttons (one on each side). Both blades are full and have much of the original finish with some light scratches. The large blade is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY and the pen blade is marked US PATS DEC 21, 09, SEPT 13, 10 and JUNE 6, 16. The celluloid scales are a color combo that I like to call Cotton Candy with green, cream and pink swirls and are in great condition. The knife works well with both blades seated well closed, strong snap and tight lockup open, but both blades have kickback because the spring is so strong. Safeties work. EX+ condition
