Vintage SCHRADE CUT CO Medium double German Silver Deluxe Scroll switchblade knife made in Walden, NY between 1916 and 1946 and designated pattern 7409GSil. This is the medium size double measuring 3 3/8" closed and 7 inches with both blades open and has brass liners and nickel silver scales, buttons and safeties. The blades are both 94% full or better and shiny with scattered peppering and some pit spots and pitting on the tang of the small blade. Main spear blade stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY and the small blade stamped US PATS Dec 21, 09, Sept 13, 10 and June 6, 16. The German (nickel) silver scales are in excellent condition. The knife works well with large blade blade tips seating below liners closed and small blade tip is just above the liners, both blades open fully and both lock open with 1/16 to 1/8 inch up and down at the tips. No kickback on the small blade. Good example of a vintage American gentleman's silver switchblade knife. Only safety for small blade works. G condition.
