Schrade Cut Co medium double Cocobolo cell switchblade
Schrade Cut Co medium double Cocobolo cell switchblade
This knife was made by the Schrade Cutlery Co of Walden, NY sometime between 1916 and 1946. This knife was designated the 7404C with Cocobolo wood colored celluloid scales and brass liners. It has two blades that are each activated by pressing one of two buttons (one on each side). The knife measures 3 3/8" closed and 7" with both blades open. The knife has seen light use over the years but both blades are nearly full. Spear blade is stamped Schrade Cut Co Walden NY and looks like someone put a little clip grind in the spine. Interesting customization by a previous owner, otherwise very nice. Pen blade has three patent dates of '09, '10 & '16 also nice and shiny. The scales are in very nice condition with no cracks, only minor handling marks/scuffs. The knife works well with both blade tips below the liners closed, both open fully when buttons are pressed and both lock open well. Small blade kicks back sometimes, but usually opens and locks if you hold the button down. Great old knife in very good condition. 100% money back guarantee including return shipping if you're not happy with this knife.
