Vintage SCHRADE CUT CO M2 Bone handled WWII Paratrooper Military issue switchblade knife. This knife was made in Walden NY in the 1940s by the Schrade Cutlery Co under contract with the US Government and issued to soldiers during the war. It measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 5/16" open with steel liners, bolsters and lanyard ring (staple) and nickel silver button and safety cap. The clip blade is 98% full or better and has light patina over original finish with light scratches and a little light spotting. The tang is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY on the front tang and US PATS DEC 21, 09, SEPT 13, 10 & JUNE 6, 16. The jigged bone scales are awesome with no cracks. The knife works great with the blade tip seating deep, strong snap and good lockup open with less than 1/16" up and down at the tip. Safety does not work properly. EX condition.
