Vintage SCHRADE CUT CO M2 Bone handled WWII Paratrooper Military issue switchblade knife. This knife was made in Walden NY in the 1940s by the Schrade Cutlery Co under contract with the US Government and issued to soldiers during the war. It measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 1/8" open with steel liners, bolsters and lanyard ring (staple) and nickel silver button and safety. The blade is 92% full about 3/8" short and shiny with light scratches and is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY on the front tang and US PATS DEC 21, 09, SEPT 13, 10 & JUNE 6, 16. The light colored jigged bone scales are in excellent condition. The knife works great with the blade tip seating below liners, strong snap and good lockup open with a little movement each way. VG+ condition.
