SCHRADE CUT CO M2 Bone WWII Paratrooper Military issue switchblade knife was made in Walden NY in the 1940s by the Schrade Cutlery Co under contract with the US Government and issued to soldiers during the war. It measures 4.25 inches closed and 7.25" open with steel liners, bolsters and lanyard ring (staple) and nickel silver button and safety cap. The clip point blade is 94% full and shiny with light scratches and is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY on the front tang and US PATS DEC 21, 09, SEPT 13, 10 & JUNE 6, 16. The jigged bone scales are in excellent condition. The knife works great with the blade tip seating even with the liners closed, strong snap and good lockup open with about 1/16" up and down and a little side to side at the tip. Safety works. VG condition.
