Schrade Cut Co Hunters Pride # G1544 3/4 Marine Pearl Etched Folding guard switchblade knife

Vintage Schrade Cut Co Hunters Pride # G1544 3/4 bone Folding guard switchblade knife with blade etch made in Walden, NY. It measures 4 7/8 inches closed and 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners, bolsters & guards with nickel silver button and safety. The clip blade is 98% full and retains much of the original finish under a light patina with light scratches and a lot of spotting. The tang is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY and back US PATS DEC 21, 09, SEPT 13, 10 and JUNE 6, 16, so it was made between 1916 and 1946. The original fragile HUNTER'S PRIDE acid etch is still visible and you can read almost all of it. The Marine Pearl celluloid scales are very attractive and in great condition with no cracks. The knife works great with blade tip well below liners and centered closed, good snap and very good lockup with just a tiny bit of movement at the tip open. Does not rattle when open except for the guards. Safety works. EX+ condition.
