Schrade Cut Co Hunters Pride # G1543 3/4 bone ETCHED Folding guard switchblade knife

Vintage Etched Schrade Cut Co Hunters Pride # G1543 3/4 switchblade knife with jigged bone handles & folding guards made in Walden, NY between 1916 and 1946. The knife measures 4 7/8 inches closed and 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners & nickel silver bolsters, guards, button and safety. The clip blade is 99% full or better with much of the original finish and ETCH, under a light patina the clearly reads HUNTER'S PRIDE, though faint. It's hard to photograph, but you can read the entire etch easily, just faint. The tang is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY on the tang and back US PATS DEC 21, 09, SEPT 13, 10 and JUNE 6, 16 so it was made between 1916 and 1946. The peachseed jigged bone scales are very attractive and in excellent condition with no cracks. The knife works great with blade tip deep and centered in the well, opens fully and excellent lockup with just a hint of movement at the tip open. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open except for the guards. Safety works. EX+ condition.
