Vintage Schrade Cut Co Hunters Pride Folding guard switchblade knife made in Walden, NY between 1916 and 1946 and was designated pattern G1544 3/4 STG. Measures 4 7/8 inches closed and 8 5/8" open with steel liners and nickel silver guards, liners, button and safety. The blade is nearly full with light patina with some light scratches and peppering with visible original etch that reads HUNTER'S PRIDE on the face. I promise that you can make out the entire etch with little effort, but VERY hard to photograph and pics make the blade finish look worse than it actually is. Blade is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY on the tang and backside US PATS DEC 21, 09, SEPT 13, 10 and JUNE 6, 16. Black jigged (stagged) synthetic scales are in excellent condition and held on with spun brass pins. The knife works well with the blade tip just below liners closed, good snap and excellent lockup with just a little movement each way when locked open. Does not rattle if shaken when open except for the guards. EX condition.
