Schrade Cut Co FOREST KING Onyx Celluloid Hunter vintage 1940s automatic knife etch

Schrade Cut Co FOREST KING Onyx Celluloid Hunter vintage 1940s automatic knife made in Walden, NY and designated pattern 1544 3/4 O. This one is exceptionally nice and still has a very faint FOREST KING etch on the face of the blade, though you need light and magnification to see it, you can read the whole thing. The knife measures 4 7/8 inches closed and 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and safety. The clip blade is 100% full with original factory finish and some very faint scratches. The Onyx celluloid scales are Gorgeous and in wonderful condition. The knife works just as it did when new with blade tip seated centered and below liners closed, good snap and excellent lockup with just a hint of movement and does not rattle if shaken with the blade open. Spring has been professionally replace. Safety work. EX++ condition.
