SCHRADE CUT CO FOREST KING Marine Pearl Vintage Hunter Automatic knife Etch

Vintage SCHRADE CUT CO Forest King Marine Pearl Celluloid Hunter Switchblade knife made by Schrade Cut Co of Walden, NY between 1916 and 1956 and designated the model #1544 3/4M. The knife measures 4 7/8 inches closed and 8 5/8 inches open with streel liners, bolsters & button with nickel silver safety. The clip blade is 96% full with much of the original finish with some light scratches and the tang is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN, NY and the reverse is stamped US PATS DEC. 21 09. SEPT 13.10 & JUNE 6.16. The original light acid etch is still visible, but hard to make most of it out and you have to turn it to the light and look very closely to see it, but it's there! The Marine pearl celluloid scales are beautiful with small chip near bottom of the back scale that's not very noticeable. The knife works Great with blade tip below the liners closed, strong snap and excellent lockup with less than 1/16" up and down at the tip. Barely rattles if shaken with blade open. VG+ condition.
