Vintage Schrade Cut Co fishtail switchblade with Coffee & Cream mottled celluloid scales (handles). This knife was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1916 and 1946 and was designated the model 1514AC. It measures 4 inches closed and 7 1/8 inches open with brass liners. The tang is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY and the rear is stamped with three patent dates 09, 10 and 16. The blade is mostly full with patina, scratches and light pitting. The scales are very attractive black and cream mottled with usual hairline cracks by the top pins. The knife works great with blade tip below liners, opens fully and good lockup with a little movement each way. Doesn't rattle if shaken when open. Safety does not work properly. G+ condition.
