Schrade Cut Co Fishtail Black Vintage 1940s Switchblade knife

Schrade Cut Co fishtail switchblade with Black celluloid scales (handles). This knife was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1916 and 1946 and was designated the model 1514B. It measures 4 inches closed and 7 1/8 inches open with brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and safety cap. The tang is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY and the rear is stamped US PATS DEC 09, SEPT 10 and JUNE 16. The blade is mostly full at about 95% with light patina, some scratches and a few spots. The scales are smooth black celluloid with no cracks, but does have a little chipping around the safety hole and handling marks. The knife works well with blade tip seating deep, opens fully and locks open, but has excessive movement with 3/8" up and down and some side to side at the tip. Button is sensitive, but seems to work well. Probably not a good option for a carry knife, but good example for a collection. Safety works. VG+ condition
