Schrade Cut Co 3 3/8 inch single jack switchblade. This knife was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1907 and 1946 and is the smallest single blade jack made by the company measuring 3 3/8" closed and just under 6 inches open. The blade is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY on the front and has three patent dates on the rear of 1909, 10 and 16. This knife is a pattern # 1404AC with coffee & cream celluloid. The blade is full and retains most of the factory finish with lots of light scratches and light patina. The celluloid scales are in nice condition with no cracks or chips, but do have light scratches and marks from handling over the years. The knife works great with blade tip seating a hair above the liners closed, strong snap and great lockup! Safety works. These single blade jacks are much less common than the doubles of the same size and therefor usually bring higher prices because they're hard to find. This is a very nice example with a full blade!
