z SCHRADE CUT CO 1613 3/4 Hunting Knife Saber Grind bone vintage switchblade

Schrade Cut Co #1613 3/4 large hunter switchblade with saber grind blade made in Walden, NY sometime between 1916 and 1946. This is the largest switchblade knife made by Schrade measuring 4 7/8" close and 8 11/16 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters, button, safety cap and spun pins. The blade is 98% full and mostly shiny with light scratches from sharpening/use and the tang is stamped Schrade Cut Co  Walden, NY. The backside has three patent dates DEC 21, 09, SEPT 13, 10 and JUNE 6, 16. The blade was likely originally etched "SCHRADE HUNTING KNIFE", but the etches were fragile and easily rubbed off. The dyed jigged bone scales are in excellent condition with no cracks. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep, strong snap and good lockup with about 1/16" up and down at the tip.
