S.M. CO. ITALY 16cm Italian Picklock 1950s vintage horn automatic knife NOS

Vintage New Old Stock SM CO ITALY 23cm Italian Picklock bayonet blade w horn automatic knife made in Italy in the 1950s and never sold retail. This knife is part of a stash of NOS knives that was found and auctioned in NY near the end of 2025. It measures 15.7cm (6 3/16 inches) open and 3 7/16 inches closed with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button & safety cap. The bayonet grind blade is 100% full with original finish and the ricasso is stamped S.M. CO ITALY. The genuine horn scales (handles) are in excellent condition and mostly black. The knife works like new with blade tip deep & centered closed, opens fully and TIGHT lockup open. No rattle if shaken with blade open. Nearly new condition, but may show signs from 60 years of storage.
