This is another vintage RPK (Russian Prison Knife) that I got direct from Russia. These were made by inmates to be sold to the public to raise money for the prisons in the 1970s and 80s, I believe. I'm still researching it. These knives are all one-of-a-kind pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art and they are a lot of fun to collect and make wonderful wall display pieces. They can be found in all shapes and sizes and so far I haven't found any two exactly alike. This one reminds me of a Leg so I'm going with that. It measures just under 7 inches open with steel liners with patterns under clear synthetic scales. The blade is full and shiny. The scales (handles) are in really nice condition. The knife works great with the blade tip seating deep closed, good snap and Super Tight lockup with a little movement. Cool old Russian RPK automatic knife.
