Vintage RPK sexy woman automatic knife from Russia purchased from the son of a man who was a prison guard from the 1970s to the 1990s. These switchblade knives were made by inmates of some Russian prisons to be sold to raise money for the prison, often sold at news and cigarette stands and other outlets. The knife measures just under 3.25 inches closed and just under 5.25 inches open with steel liners. The carbon steel blade is nearly full with heavy patina, spotting and lots of scratches. The scales are clear acrylic over hand painted animated attractive black haired woman with green skirt and red blouse. Has ring to connect keychain near the bottom (back) of the knife. Works well, blade tip even with liners closed, opens well and fair lockup with about 1/8" up and down and some side to side at the tip. Does rattle if shaken when open. Cool little pieces of Russian folk art cutlery! VG- condition.
