RPK Vintage 26cm Russian Prison Knife Swing guard Gunstock switchblade

RPK 26cm Russian Prison Knife Vintage Gunstock Lockback Swing Guard switchblade knife. These knives are believed to have been made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1960s and 70s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons. They are all hand made and very unique and beautiful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures 25.5cm (10 inches) open and 5.25 inches closed with a steel frame, button, nickel silver swing guards and aluminum bolsters. The hollow ground long clip saw blade is full and has all of the original finish with some light scratches and no markings with saw teeth cut into the spine. The gunstock shaped scales are brown synthetic and are in nice condition. The knife works well with the blade tip even with liners when closed, smooth strong snap and Excellent lockup when open. The blade is activated by pressing the rectangular button and is closed with a backspring release. Very cool vintage Russian RPK gunstock swing guard switchblade knife. Safety works, but is hard to move. EX condition.
